Spring is in the air at your local farmer’s market!

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and flowers are a-bloom’n! Spring is finally here – woo hoo! It’s time to celebrate and soak it all in! There are TONS of great things to do in St. Louis during the Spring and Summer, and one of them is hitting up your local farmer’s markets. If you have a grocery list going and want to check out some local treats, what better way than to do all of this outdoors while supporting local?

Last Sunday, we hit up the Kirkwood Farmer’s Market. Summit Produce is the only vendor on Sundays, but man, they cover all of the bases! Need beautiful plants for your garden? Check! Gorgeous flowers to make your day? Done and done. Amazing produce? Yep. Knowledgeable and happy staff? MM HMMM! And how about those fun little add-on’s – a fresh jar of jam? Homemade confections? You got it! So many goodies, so little time! We could have stayed there all day.

Oh, and that reminds me! Are you looking for a fun family date, too? Farmer’s markets are enjoyable for the whole family! You can really make a nice afternoon of it (when that weather is cooperating at least – LOL). Not to mention all of the nearby restaurants and shops. So much to keep your family busy for the afternoon! This holds true for several St. Louis markets such as:

Kirkwood Farmer’s Market
Monday – Sunday

Tower Grove
Tuesday & Saturday

Soulard
Wednesday – Saturday

Maplewood
Wednesday

Webster Groves
Thursday

St. Charles
Saturday

And how great that you can check out their sites ahead of time for vendor listings, times of operation, and other information!? (All Locations above are clickable links!)

So my little Leopard lovers, be sure to get out there and check out your local markets! And above all my friends, enjoy your Spring! Meow. 😉
